To avoid confusion, we are using the description "Post-10" to cover
both "advanced" Rolfing and work after the basic ten sessions.
The beauty of post
ten work is that it is constantly undergoing transition and modification.
A client may come in for a "tune-up" which can be a single session
following a physical or emotional experience. Usually we suggest a "series" of
three to five sessions where the specific problem can be addressed along
with concurrent focus on balance and alignment.
LOUIS did his advanced
training with Dr. Rolf in 1976. her focus in the advanced training was to
look more at specific physical problems while keeping the concept of integration.
In discussions with Dr. Rolf, Louis expressed his discomfort with the series
she was presenting. Her response was "then create your own" which
he did The point was that "after ten" the work becomes more personalized
with time by each Rolfer.
MARCELO received
his Rolfing training in Brazil with Jan Sultan, an Advanced Faculty Teacher,
in 1997. Part of the work was a"non-formulistic" approach which
can be used with either Rolfed or non Rolfed clients. He completed his advanced
training in 2003 in Minneapolis.
"With our combined
training and experience, we offer "four-handed" sessions where
both of us are working in rhythm with ech other and the client. The results
are
frequently more than the sum of the two of us.
